At ALMU, the units have an ADAS system (Advanced Driver Assistance Systemsthis is an Advanced Safety System capable of compensating for human errors and limitations at the wheel of a vehicle. This contributes to reducing driving risks and improving the efficiency of protecting our customers' assets.

In addition to preventing accidents and improving road safety, the ADAS system enables more efficient use of fuel resources, detects mechanical failures, and extends the lifespan of vehicles.

Using cameras and sensors, the ADAS system detects conditions in the driver's blind spots and sends alerts to keep them aware of what's happening around them.

ADAS SYSTEM LEVEL 3: CONDITIONED AUTOMATION

Conditional automation includes automation in relation to longitudinal and lateral movement control; however, the human factor remains key, as the system may require human intervention.

Conditional automation includes the following features:

Collision alerts

Sensors and cameras that monitor the vehicle's surroundings and alert the driver if a potential collision with another vehicle, pedestrian, or object is detected.

Lane Keeping Assist

Systems that monitor the vehicle's position in the lane and issue alerts or even intervene to keep the vehicle within the lane limits.

Adaptive cruise control

Technologies that automatically adjust vehicle speed based on traffic and the distance to the vehicle in front.

Parking assistance

Sensors and cameras that assist the driver in parking maneuvers, such as detecting obstacles and providing instructions for safe parking.

Driver fatigue monitoring

Systems that monitor driving patterns and issue alerts if driver fatigue or drowsiness is detected.

BENEFITS

The adoption of ADAS in the fleet improves road safety by helping to prevent collisions and reduce accident severity, reducing maintenance costs, increasing vehicle operating efficiency, and improving the driver experience.

However, ADAS does not replace driver responsibility, and drivers must still maintain proper attention at all times and follow applicable traffic laws and regulations.
